M5 Flat Washers A2 Stainless Steel - 1 mm height

• M5 stainless steel flat washers for bookbinding screws / screw-post bindings
• Use one washer per binding screw to add extra strength and stability to the spine of handmade books or brochures
• Ideal to offset height differences if your binding screw is slightly too long – each washer adds 1 mm between screw and cover

Stainless steel flat washers are a useful addition to any bookbinding toolkit. A single washer between book cover and binding screw will reinforce the binding and help keep screws securely in place.

Like our rosette washers, flat washers can also be used to make up for height differences between cover and binding. For example, if you only have a 6 mm binding post and a 5 mm post would fit perfectly, add a washer to reduce the space by 1 mm.

The key difference? Flat washers sit flush against the cover, giving a more minimal, understated finish compared to the decorative look of a rosette washer. Choose based on the aesthetic you're after.
