Gobrecht & Ulrich was founded in 2016 and our carefully selected book binding supplies, art materials and paper products have quickly become a staple for professional book binders and hobbyists, printmakers, designers and creatives of all kinds.

Our mission is to support you with products that help you lock and express your creativity.

Gobrecht & Ulrich are the two managing directors, Jan Gobrecht and Daniel Ulrich, together with a network of brilliant small and medium-sized suppliers. Jan is based in Scotland and manages the warehouse and shipping in Edinburgh. Daniel takes care of the warehouse and shipping in Germany.

For us, quality counts more than quantity. Our focus is on offering a curated selection of products that we believe provide exceptional value and high quality, rather than simply having the largest range available.

Together we now process more than 25,000 orders per year and supply customers in the UK and Germany.

We stand for: short lead times, reasonable prices and the best service possible. Nothing more and nothing less.

To achieve this, we do without everything that is not necessary: no expensive and elaborate packaging, no glossy catalogues or expensive marketing campaigns.

Where possible, we use easily recyclable materials. We constantly aim to reduce waste during the design, manufacturing and packaging process of all our Gobrecht & Ulrich products.
